One handwritten request gets you 3 to 5 free coins at these six casinos. Chumba and Stake pay the most per request (5 each), and Chumba is the only one where you don't mail anything. Every figure below comes from each casino's own rules, which we read on Oct 19, 2026.
| Casino | Coins per request | Method | Crediting time | Playthrough on free coins |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chumba | 5 SC | Online Entry Request, one per day | Once the entry is approved | 1x (Chumba can require up to 20x) |
| Stake | 5 Stake Cash | Not published | 3x | |
| Hello Millions | 4 SC | Up to 3 months | 1x | |
| Modo | 3 SC | Not published | 1x (Modo can require up to 30x) | |
| High 5 | 3 SC | Not published | 1x minimum, can be more | |
| Legendz | 3 SC | Not published | 1x (Legendz can require up to 20x) |
Three rules apply everywhere: one card per envelope, everything handwritten by you, and your name and address must match your verified account.
Chumba: 5 SC per online Entry Request
You still handwrite a card, but you photograph it instead of mailing it.
- Sign in and click "Entry Request" at the bottom of the screen (or in the app).
- Fill in the Entry Acknowledgment Form. Write your name exactly as it appears on your verified account, then type it to confirm.
- Pass the "human check" and scratch the template to reveal your unique wording.
- Copy that wording by hand, in black or blue pen, onto one side of a blank, unlined, unfolded 4" x 6" index card or white paper.
- Take a clear photo inside the on-screen frame. Chumba may also ask for a selfie check.
Each valid request is 5 SC. You must be 21+ (or older where your state requires), and 16 states are excluded, including California, New York and Michigan. The rules don't give a crediting time. Chumba's Help Center adds three things, checked Oct 29, 2026: you can submit one entry per day, a failed submission doesn't count against your attempts, and Sweeps Coins are added once the entry is approved. Don't use auto-fill, AI tools, filters or photo edits, and keep anything else out of the shot.

Stake: 5 Stake Cash per postcard
- While logged in, generate your unique postcard code from the link in Stake's Terms (clause 8.3).
- Use a postcard or white paper at least 4" x 6", unfolded.
- On one side, in this order, handwrite: your full name as on your ID, your Stake username, your registered address, your account email, the word "CODE:" followed by your code, and the statement printed in clause 8.3.
- On the envelope, write your return address and the words "Stake Cash Credits".
- Mail it to Sweepsteaks Limited, 13101 Preston RD STE 110-5027, Dallas, TX 75240, from the state on your verified address.
Cards without a valid generated code are rejected. Stake Cash you receive must be played 3 times before it can be redeemed. Stake is 21+ and excludes 22 states. No crediting time is published.

Hello Millions: 4 SC per request card
- Sign in, open the Sweepstakes Rules and use the request-code link to get your 13-digit Sweepstakes Request Code.
- On the envelope, handwrite your return address on the front, the Hello Millions web address, the words "Sweepstakes Coins", and your code in the upper left corner.
- On the card, in non-black ink (blue works), write: your full name, the Hello Millions web address, your return address, the code in the upper left corner, your account email, and the statement quoted in section 3.2.8 of the rules.
- Mail it in a stamped #10 envelope to HelloMillions - Sweepstakes, B-Two Operations Limited, PO Box 9507, Manchester, NH 03108.
The card has to arrive within 25 days of generating the code, so don't stockpile codes. Your return address must match the city, ZIP and state on your verified account, and the postmark must be from that state. The help center says crediting is done by hand and "could take up to 3 months". It's 21+, closed in 16 states, has no promotions in California and leaves Oklahoma on Nov 1, 2026.

Modo: 3 SC per mailed request
- Sign in and tap "Envelope Code Request" on the home screen to get a 12-digit Envelope Request Code. It expires 30 days after it's shown.
- On a white, unlined 4x6 index card, write in this order: your full name as on your government ID, your account email, your residential address, the code, and the statement shown on the code page, word for word.
- Directly under the statement, sign and date it (MM/DD/YYYY). Your signature has to match your verified ID.
- Address a white #10 envelope by hand to ARB Gaming, PO Box 164, Watertown NY 13601, and post it from your verified home state.
Modo is 21+ and excludes 17 states, including Oklahoma and Arizona. No crediting time is published.

High 5: 3 SC per request card
- Sign in, open the side bar, go to "My Account" and press "Get Mail-In Code". The code works once and expires after 60 days.
- On a 4" x 6" card in landscape, write in the top left: your full name, your account email, the Mail-In Code, and your residential address as on your ID. Write the date in the top right.
- Below that, write: "I wish to receive Sweeps Coins to participate in Sweeps Play on High 5 Casino."
- Use a plain white, unlined #10 envelope. Put your return address top left on the front, and the Mail-In Code on the back, mid-center (not at the top).
- Mail it to High 5 Entertainment, LLC, H5C Sweeps Coin Request, PO Box 695, Mahwah, NJ 07430, from your verified home state.
Use one ink color for everything; High 5 recommends black. It gives no status updates while cards are reviewed, and rejected cards aren't reconsidered. High 5 is 21+, excludes 21 states, and ended Oklahoma access on Oct 29, 2026, per its notice to players.

Legendz: 3 SC per request card
- Sign in and click "Postal Request Code" in the lobby. You get an 11-digit code plus a Generated Statement. The code expires 45 days after it's shown.
- On a blank, unlined 4" x 6" card, write the date in the top right and the code in the top left.
- Under the code, write: your full name as on your ID, your account email, your registered address, and the Generated Statement exactly as shown.
- On the envelope, write your return address and "Sweeps Coin Request Card", then mail it in a stamped #10 envelope to Legendz, Sweeps Coin Request Card, PO Box # 628, Watertown NY 13601.
Use blue ink only. Any other color voids the card. Legendz is 18+ (or your state's age of majority if higher) and excludes 11 states, including California and New York.

Mistakes that void a request
New to mail-in requests? Our AMOE guide covers how they work in general.
- Wrong ink. Legendz wants blue only, Hello Millions wants non-black, and High 5 wants one color throughout.
- Expired codes. Hello Millions cards must arrive within 25 days; Modo codes last 30 days, Legendz 45 and High 5 60.
- Posting from another state. Stake, Modo, High 5, Legendz and Hello Millions all check the postmark against your verified address.
- Two cards in one envelope, or a bundle sent as a parcel.
- A name that doesn't match your account or ID. High 5 rejects the card and asks you to fix the account name first.
- Printed, stenciled or "assisted" handwriting, or someone writing cards for you. Chumba also bans AI or edited photos.
- The code in the wrong spot. High 5 wants it on the back of the envelope; Hello Millions wants it in the upper left of the envelope and the card.
How we checked
On Oct 19, 2026, SweepsDuke re-read the current official rules for all six: Chumba's Sweeps Rules (version 26.1), Stake's Terms (version 18.0, clause 8), Hello Millions' Sweepstakes Rules (version 1.9) and its help article on envelope crediting, Modo's Official Rules (updated Oct 1, 2026), High 5's Official Rules (version 44.0) and Legendz's Sweeps Rules (version 3.2). The rules images in each casino section are taken from the official rules documents each casino publishes, saved Oct 19, 2026. We did not mail cards for this piece, so crediting times are only what the casinos publish. On Oct 29, 2026, we re-checked Chumba's Help Center article on entry errors. Amounts and addresses can change, so recheck the rules before you post anything.
We left out Mega Bonanza because its rules page wasn't reachable and the SC per envelope couldn't be confirmed. McLuck uses the same rules as Hello Millions (4 SC, PO Box 9550, Manchester, NH).

Free play is still play
Free coins are still for playing casino-style games, so set a time limit. Age limits: Chumba 21+, Stake 21+, Hello Millions 21+, Modo 21+, High 5 21+, Legendz 18+ (or higher where your state requires). Don't use a VPN or mail from a state you don't live in. If gambling stops feeling like a game, call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.
Taxes on free coins
Coins from a mailed or online request are free, but prizes you redeem from them are taxable. Casinos that report send a 1099-MISC once your yearly prizes reach $2,000. From 2026, gambling losses are deductible only up to 90%, and only if you itemize.
