ENDED: This giveaway has ended (closed Oct 13, 12:59 PM EDT).
American Luck ran a Halloween-style giveaway on X called "Stop Chad's Timer." The video showed a stopwatch creeping toward a time that can't exist, 6:66, and the ask was simple: comment "666" on the post. Five winners were each set to get 100,000 Gold Coins plus 10 Sweeps Coins. Entries closed on October 13 at 12:59 PM EDT, and the giveaway is no longer accepting replies.
What American Luck posted
The giveaway went up on American Luck's official X account on October 12, 2026, as part of its American Nightmares theme. The art showed a hooded eagle mascot with clawed hands hovering over a red button and a digital clock, under the headline "Stop Chad's Timer at 6:66."
The post framed it as a challenge to stop Chad's stopwatch right on 6:66. The entry step itself was a comment, not a skill test. You didn't have to time anything or upload a screenshot. You replied with "666" and you were in.
How entry worked
Based on the post, entry worked like this:
- Open the American Luck giveaway post on X.
- Reply to it with the comment "666".
- Get your reply in before October 13 at 12:59 PM EDT (9:59 AM PT) (now closed).
That was the whole list of steps the post gave. It didn't ask you to follow, repost or tag friends, so we wouldn't assume those counted for anything extra.
The prize
The post listed a total prize pool of 500,000 Gold Coins and 50 Sweeps Coins, split across five winners. Each winner was set to get 100,000 Gold Coins and 10 Sweeps Coins.
Gold Coins are American Luck's play-for-fun currency, and you can't redeem them for anything. Sweeps Coins are the promotional currency. They have no cash value on their own, but winnings played through with them can be redeemed under American Luck's own rules, which normally include playthrough, identity checks and a minimum redeem amount.
Ten Sweeps Coins was a decent bump for a one-word reply. Five winners from an open comment thread still meant long odds, so treat it as a free extra and not a reason to buy coins.
What the post didn't say
A few details weren't in the post, so we can't confirm them:
- It didn't say how the five winners are picked, though comment giveaways like this are usually random draws.
- There was no word on when or where winners will be announced. Check American Luck's official channels for the result.
- It didn't say whether you need an American Luck account to claim, though prizes like this are normally credited to a player account.
The fine print on the giveaway image read "No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law. Terms of use apply. 18+". American Luck isn't open in every US state, so check its terms for excluded states before you count on claiming a prize.
Our take
This was about as low-effort as social giveaways get: one comment, no puzzle answer to work out, and a clear deadline. We liked that the post spelled out the prize split and the closing time, which plenty of comment giveaways leave vague.
